Surviving on a deserted island can be dangerous but accomplishable by following these few steps. Make sure to stay calm, keeping your mind clear and open for possibilities. Look at your surroundings and find out what resources are available.
Signaling for help should be first priority, by making some kind of signal can allow boats and planes to see the SOS. Statistics suggest making some kind of noticeable object to allow passing pedestrians know someone may be trapped on the island. The bigger the object may allow people to see from farther away. Another way to signal may be to make a fire, having access to wood and the means to make a fire. A large, smoky fire would be ideal for making a signal suggested by the Arthur of wilderness survival. Start off with gathering kindling and leaves, find some way to ignite the leaves and small kindle. Then add on any means of fuel. A fire requires three ingredients to allow for a fire, fuel, oxygen and heat. Find them and creat a fire signal, be careful fires can be very ferine.
Another important recourse is finding something to feed on. Before the agricultural revolution start everyone depended on hunting and gathering to supply them with food and meat. Finding water should be first to search for, human body can least maybe four or five days without water, but can survive two weeks without food. Search for moving water stream also if a plastic bag is available, tie it to a tree branch, over night it will collect a little water. When searching for food look for berries or herbs, be careful some could be toxic. Hunting is another way to obtain food and meat. One way to get food is fishing, since you’re on a deserted island that means you are surrounded by water. Making a harpoon from bamboo or fishing net from vines, though fishing could take time, could be a reliable source of food. A possible more effective way is to set snare traps, with little effect could prove to me another reliable source of nutrition.
To survive on an deserted island you must do through steps. Along with finding a shelter to keep out of the weather, many things could make a shelter; a close group of trees provide a small roof and partial wall. The weather can be besetting at times. A more effective shelter would be a hangover from a side of a cliff. Where ever you find shelter make sure that your recourses are nearby or you know where they are located. Some people think that waiting to be rescued is best, by making a SOS signals. Searching the island for recourses that could help you escape the island could prove to be a faster way out. Everyone needs hope that someone will notice that they’re missing and comes looking for them.
Knowing this, anyone could survive on a deserted island along as you keep your cool. With the right recourses at least you could survive a few days. Do not allow yourself to become lugubrious.
